Benefits of a living, online map.
One of the most powerful benefits of an online map comes from the immediate boost in productivity. The ability to quickly answer questions about the course—and share the answers on a visual map— makes labor management and greens committee meetings a breeze. StrataPoint eliminates guesswork, increases collaboration, and gives you the tools to demonstrate necessary course maintenance.
Already have a GPS map?
StrataPoint can import all the data from your existing GPS survey and integrate it into the living map. This takes the significant investment you already made in GPS and transforms it into data you can continue to use in the management of your course.
And if you don't have GPS data, StrataPoint provides GPS mapping of an 18 hole golf course for only $500.

Your base map is created from high-resolution aerial photography that pinpoints the GPS location of course features and layers it onto the living map. Additional layers are then created for:
- fairways
- greens
- tee boxes
- bunkers and hazards
- flowers and landscaping features
- buildings
- water features
Any digital map can turn layers off and on, but StrataPoint includes powerful query tools that let you select elements in a variety of ways:
- Point-and-click entire holes or individual elements
- Smart-select by drawing shapes around groups of elements
- Query the database by creating custom searches of course characteristics.
StrataPoint also shows you more than linear distance between objects. You probably already know how long your fairways are. StrataPoint allows you to select the holes you are spraying today, set custom buffers, then calculate the precise amount of chemicals needed to cover the accurate square footage. And because we've integrated a powerful chemical module, you can even see the precise cost of your spraying application, based on the chemicals you are using.
You can always print out maps of your course when it is necessary, but StrataPoint goes one step further, allowing you to create task based work orders that are tied to specific areas of the map. Assign specific maintenance to certain employees and print out a work order that shows a precise map and instructions. Create spraying programs and turn into a detailed work order that shows precise chemical cocktails, equipment, and course map.
Because StrataPoint builds your course map on top of a powerful database, you can generate reports on the fly that keep you productive and answer important questions about your course. Common report templates allow you to quickly calculate chemical inventories, such as "Fertilizer On Hand". You can even build your own reports for budgeting and analysis.
